Miloh Elena Gorgevska lives in the dreary suburbs outside of Toronto, Ontario. They identify as a menace to society’s traditions. As a jack-of-all-trades, they are an author, director, poet & screenwriter. Writing has been their purpose for the majority of their life.
Their debut short film, SHARDS, placed in 8 festivals worldwide and was awarded Best Cinematography. They have written and directed 3 other, smaller short films, which also saw festival placement. Before that, they were an actor for 8 years, featured in a principal role in short films, as well as a CBCKids show.
Their poetry has been published by Wingless Dreamer, Thi Wurd, and Near Window, and their debut chapbook by Cathexis Northwest Press. Previously, their writing under the pen name 'Kara Petrovic' has been published in Philadelphia Stories, Train: A Poetry Journal & others. Their poetry collections are available for purchase at most major sellers.
In 2022 they started their own Zine, "Best Served Cold", set for its first publication on December 1st 2022.
A graduate of Ryerson University, they have a particular focus on telling true stories that are taboo and uncomfortably emotional.
